October 2025 has been nothing short of extraordinary for Arctic Sea Tours and our guests. This month delivered some of the best whale watching experiences we've ever had, confirming once again why North Iceland is one of the world’s top whale watching destinations.
Throughout October, humpback whales were seen on every single tour – an impressive and rare consistency in marine wildlife observation. On most days, we encountered between 5 to 20 individuals, creating magical and memorable moments for our guests on board.
We are incredibly proud to share that we have now recorded 787 consecutive tours with humpback whale sightings. This is not only a company record but a remarkable achievement that speaks to the health of the local ecosystem, our crew’s expertise, and the reliability of our tours.
Another major milestone: we have operated 149 consecutive days without cancelling a single tour day – a new operational record for us. The last full day we had to cancel was June 5th. This consistency reflects our dedication to providing safe, professional, and well-organized experiences, even in the variable conditions of the North Atlantic.
In 2024, we operated 909 tours. This year, we’ve already surpassed that with 1,024 tours completed, and the season isn’t over yet. With tours continuing in both November and December, we are on track to finish the year at an all-time high.
These achievements are not just numbers—they represent thousands of unforgettable moments, smiles, and memories made for our guests from all over the world. They also highlight the professionalism of our crew, the abundance of wildlife in Eyjafjörður, and the stability and reliability of our operations.
